The Sarimanok Law Clinic (SLC) is the flagship program of the Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP) of Mindanao State University – College of Law at MSUIIT. It is composed of certified Law Students Practitioners (LSPs) supervised by Supervising Lawyers (SLs) in accordance with the Revised Rule 138-A or the Student Practice Rule.

It is a two-way program. First, it aims to equip the students with substantive and procedural legal knowledge, instill among them the values of the legal profession and social responsibility, and prepare them to become effective agents of social justice; and second, it ensures access to justice and legal literacy, especially for the marginalized sector, designed to provide people in the community a better understanding of their legal rights and responsibilities, and empower them to make informed choices.

The SVLC is in partnership with The Asia Foundation (TAF), and the US Department of State – Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
